Rogue River Irrigation Water Users

I just wanted to let you know that the Environmental Quality Incentive Program is accepting signups for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) and I am going to be funding irrigation system improvements that conserve water, particulary when converting from flood irrigation systems to sprinkler or more efficient systems. The cost share is 50%, but can be 65% if the aricultural producer is a doccumented Limited Resource Producer or Beginner Farmer (farming less than 10 years). The EQIP singup deadlines are October 1 through October 31. In Jackson County, in addition to irrigation efficiency improvements, I am also funding grazing improvements, fuel reduction of forestlands, proctice that improve water quality by better management.
